It's Just All So Much

When I started doing this a few months ago a combination of enthusiasm for the project and some saved up ideas meant I had some runway. We've reached the end of that runway.
This is a somewhat deliberate decision to put myself in a more precarious creative position. The last few posts have felt a little disconnected from the moment of their posting. Perhaps only to me because I have those extra details of when they were actually written. But I also feel like it's an unusual moment right now. And the changes and fluctuations mean that comics or lines that were silly or absurd a few months ago now feel too close to flippant.
So for a while I'm going to dabble with work that has its roots in the recent. I'm not entirely sure what that'll look like. It might mean longer writing under the work. Or a different tone to the strips. I suppose that's somewhat up to the moment. Either way, what I'm reaching for is to put something out each week that I can look at and say 'that's honest, that's speaking to something I'm thinking about right now.'
I guess we'll find out what that looks like.
