My Indie Support Stack

Here are the if not 'indie' then definitely independent creators I'm currently sending a little money to every month. I'd encourage you to share the folks you're supporting too. A rising tide and all that.

• The Glasgow Bell - Journalism with a local focus is super important. See if you have something similar where you live.
• Dave Fogler @ The Cinedrome - Competency porn and a go-forward-ness that I find inspiring.
• 404 Media - Diligent, independent tech reporting raising the profile of important questions about tech's role in society.
• Paradiso - Thoughtful videos about creativity and rpg's. Made without compromise to the short-form demands of the time.
• Broken Frontier - It is crazy to me that they have as few supporters as they do. If you're into indie comics, throw the cost of one of them the way of BF each month.
• Make It Then Tell Everybody - I was sad to first discover this as Dan was wrapping it up so thrilled to see Dan's brought it back. A great listen for anyone interested in the comics process, and a great way for writers to develop their understanding of what artists respond to.
• Squidge Rugby - Two good boys who just want to see the sport grow. I credit them with a much better (but still flawed) understanding of the sport I grew up playing.
• Quinns Quest - A danger to your wallet, thoughtful criticism and introductions to more interesting tabletop rpg's than you have the time (or friends) to play. Another unabashedly long bunch of videos.
• John Allison - John is a gateway to whimsy and joy.
• Rascal News - The newest addition to the stack. I never get to play as much as I do. But I love reading about what's new, and daydreaming about future groups.
• Dropout TV - I am probably pushing my luck with 'indie' here. But Dropout does good game shows. Just don't buy their t-shirts.
